Troubleshooting Guide
1. The Meter Does Not Power On
• Please charge the battery using a USB cable with a +5V output, or connect it to a compatible power supply unit (PSU).
• Press and hold the "RED" button to turn on the device.
• If the battery is depleted, please replace it with a new one.
• If the issues persist after trying these steps, please contact us for further assistance.
2. Watt/S.W.R. Data Does Not Stabilize
• Some radios may exhibit issues at the end of transmission (TX) where the RF output may not stabilize.
3. Inaccurate Watt Readings
• This device is not compatible with DMR systems.
• Do not attempt to read wattage without an antenna connected.
• Ensure that you are using the correct 50-ohm power dummy load for measurement.
• Data may be erroneous if the device is not reading the frequency from the radio accurately.
• The TX input should be above 0.5 watts for optimal performance.
4. Inaccurate S.W.R. Readings
• This device is not compatible with DMR systems.
• Avoid conducting tests in environments with nearby objects that may interfere with readings.
• Ensure the device is placed horizontally during testing to avoid discrepancies.
5. Frequency Counter Issues or Inaccurate Readings
• For example, if your radio is set to 145.000 MHz but reads as 145.003 MHz, consider the following:
• Input power should be above 0.5 watts for best results.
• Utilize menu mode 3 to fine-tune the frequency offset for accuracy.
6. Display Problems (e.g., Black, Garbled, or No Display)
• Restart the device by removing the internal battery.
• If issues persist after this step, please contact the service center at your retail location for further support.
7. Resetting the Microchip
• To reset, turn off the device, then hold the RED button until the display shows "Restore to Default."
• If issues continue after this procedure, please remove the battery.
