It accesses a 29 level squelch system and better sensitivity chip, is a great signal receiver and allows to get a clearer sound during communication.

You can active the Instance emergency channel 9 and channel 19 by just pressing the EMG button to switch.

Question: What's the difference from the AM (SKU: 28-120-518A) and AM/FM (SKU: 28-120-518E) model?

Answer:

AM model is designed for US area or wherever else FM is illegal. The FM band is locked and you may not switch the frequency band.

AM/FM model is designed for all areas besides the US. You can switch the frequency band standard (norm) as you need. There are 9 different frequency band (US, DE, UK, IN, PL, I, EU, I2 and CE) for you to select.
Note: It would violate FCC rules if you use other bands of this model in US.
