If Andy Warhol lived today, I'd tell him this vintage Motorola microphone exemplifies Americana just as much as the Campbell Soup Can. These 1960-1970s Motorola palm microphones feature a red transmit button, beige housing with an olive green back. This unique color combination was never seen again.

There is no modern use for this microphone today. But it's truly a piece of art - worthy of your glass showcase or office shelf. This is a masterpiece for a fire collector or vintage radio parts collector.

We're cleaning these microphones as they sell. The cords will be intact but we have no way to test them, so we can only guarantee cosmetic condition will be similar to what's pictured.

In all seriousness, we see lots of equipment, but these mics inspire us to travel back to another era due to their beauty and win the title of the most beautiful product we've ever offered for sale.

If Motorola released a retro version today, I'm betting they'll sell millions to radio enthusiasts like us.

• See our microphone as a time-accurate prop in . Skip to the scene of the deputy sheriff driving in his patrol car. Kudos to props team for getting it right!
• As a retired LE officer, I am slowly working on making an as-close-as-possible replica of the Adam-12 TV show radio. The nostalgia mic I purchased is the starting point for it. I'm hoping that between Haloid and other sources, I can replicate a radio I saw my grandfather used as well as watched on TV as a kid.
